Known for her expertise, dedication to student support, and commitment to reducing the achievement gap for first-generation, low-income, and underrepresented students, she has led and\/or founded several programs at Cal Poly Pomona. These initiatives encourage student research, provide academic support, and ease the pathway to graduate studies. Her projects include the Office of Undergraduate Research, Achieve Scholars Program, Engineering Scholars Program, Engineering Projects in Community Service (EPICS), and the McNair Scholars Program.
