Science.<\/li><li>1992: Establishment of the Ph.D. Program in the Department of Materials Science.<\/li><li>1997: Establishment of the Undergraduate Program in the Department of Materials Science.<\/li><li>2004: Relocation to the Engineering Building 6 (over 5,000 square meters).<\/li><li>2010: Integration of the Nano Institute.<\/li><\/ul><p>In 1987, the \"Materials Science and Engineering Institute Preparation Committee\" was established, with President Chang Jun-Yan and Professor Liu Zeng-Feng serving as the convener and deputy convener, respectively. In 1989, the Master's Program in Materials Science and Engineering was officially established, and in 1993, the Ph.D. program began enrolling students. In 1997, the Department of Materials Science and Engineering was approved by the Ministry of Education for establishment. Initially, faculty expansion was insufficient, but under the active efforts of Director Liu Zeng-Feng, 16 additional faculty positions were allocated to the department in 1998. In 2002, the Nano Technology Research Institute was founded, and in 2009, it merged with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering to form a single department with two institutes.\n\nThe research fields of the department encompass metals, ceramics, electronics, and polymer materials. In addition to studying the fundamental physical and chemical properties of materials, the department is engaged in the development of novel materials and processing technologies, as well as advanced applications in electronics, optoelectronics, nanotechnology, biomedical fields, energy, and computational simulations.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>\u6c11\u570b86\u5e74\u6b63\u5f0f\u63d0\u5831\u6559\u80b2\u90e8\u7533\u8acb\u5de5\u7a0b\u516d\u9928\u8208\u5efa\u6848\uff0c\u60df\u9069\u9022921\u707d\u5f8c\u671f\u9593\uff0c\u7d93\u8cbb\u96e3\u4ee5\u6838\u767c\u3002\u4f46\u5289\u589e\u8c50\u9662\u9577\u8207\u9ec3\u4e16\u660c\u7e3d\u52d9\u9577\u591a\u6b21\u8207\u6559\u80b2\u90e8\u5354\u8abf\u4e0b\uff0c\u65bc\u6c11\u570b88\u5e74\u7372\u6559\u80b2\u90e8\u6700\u9ad8\u8a55\u6bd4\u901a\u904e\u3002\u672c\u7cfb\u65bc\u6c11\u570b94\u5e74\u642c\u9077\u81f3\u5de5\u7a0b\u516d\u9928\uff0c\u7cbe\u5fc3\u898f\u5283\u7684\u7cfb\u9928\u63d0\u4f9b\u4e86\u5b8c\u5584\u7684\u6559\u5b78\u8207\u7814\u7a76\u8cc7\u6e90\u3002\u7cfb\u9928\u64c1\u6709\u5177\u5b8c\u6574\u8996\u807d\u8a2d\u5099\u7684\u6388\u8ab2\u6559\u5ba4\u3001\u5bec\u5ee3\u7684\u5927\u5b78\u90e8\u6559\u5b78\u5be6\u9a57\u5ba4\u3001\u8cb4\u91cd\u5100\u5668\u4e2d\u5fc3\u7b49\u3002\u5176\u4e2d\uff0c\u8cb4\u91cd\u5100\u5668\u4e2d\u5fc3\u64c1\u6709\u4e0a\u767e\u90e8\u8cb4\u91cd\u5206\u6790\u5100\u5668\u3001\u88fd\u7a0b\u8a2d\u5099\uff0c\u5982\uff1aTEM\u3001SEM\/EDX\u3001AES\u3001XRD\u3001FIB\u2026\u2026\u7b49\u3002\u8a2d\u5099\u8cc7\u6e90\u65bc\u570b\u5167\u9996\u5c48\u4e00\u6307\uff0c\u4e14\u76ee\u524d\u4ecd\u7a4d\u6975\u64f4\u5c55\u7cfb\u4e0a\u8cc7\u6e90\u8a2d\u5099\u3002\u6240\u6709\u7cfb\u4e0a\u6559\u5e2b\u7686\u6709\u7368\u7acb\u5be6\u9a57\u5ba4\uff0c\u5305\u542b\u5404\u7a2e\u9818\u57df\u6750\u6599\u88fd\u7a0b\u8207\u6027\u8cea\u5206\u6790\u8a2d\u5099\uff0c\u80fd\u7d66\u4e88\u5b78\u751f\u5145\u5206\u7684\u8a13\u7df4\u8207\u5b78\u7fd2\u3002\u5b8c\u5584\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u5b78\u7fd2\u74b0\u5883\u6210\u6548\u53cd\u6620\u5728\u6559\u5e2b\u5091\u51fa\u7684\u7814\u7a76\u8868\u73fe\uff0c\u8fd15\u5e74\u4f86\u672c\u7cfb\u5171\u767c\u8868\u8fd1400\u7bc7SCI\u8ad6\u6587\uff0c\u7686\u5c6c\u76f8\u95dc\u5b78\u9580\u524d20%\u4e4b\u9ad8\u6c34\u6e96\u671f\u520a\uff0c\u4e14\u88ab\u591a\u6b21\u5f15\u7528\u3002\u65bc\u6c11\u570b95\u5e74\uff0c\u6bcf\u4f4d\u8001\u5e2b\u4e00\u5e74\u5e73\u5747\u767c\u8868\u9ad8\u90549.6\u7bc7\u8ad6\u6587\uff0c\u6578\u91cf\u8207\u54c1\u8cea\u70ba\u5168\u570b\u6750\u6599\u7cfb\u4e4b\u51a0\u3002<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div Our alumni have an excellent reputation across the industry, academia, and research institutions, with many achieving outstanding success. Notable examples include alumni who have held prominent positions such as Vice Plant Manager at TSMC, Senior R&amp;D Specialist at Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE), and Director of R&amp;D at National Pingtung University of Science and Technology.\n\nThe department has established an alumni association and an alumni committee as a platform for communication. The department's website also features an alumni section to strengthen connections with graduates. Additionally, faculty members regularly collect information on the employment status of their graduates and forward it to the department assistant for coordination. The department periodically invites alumni working in industry, government, academia, and research sectors to return and give talks, sharing their educational and career experiences.
